You would think that this would be a terrible time to go out and look at homes right? Not me, especially if it’s an older home. If you are viewing homes on a day like this you can tell a lot of things about the home that you couldn’t on that picture perfect 80 degree day.
How well is that furnace working? You can tell on a day like today. What about the insulation of the home? Do you feel drafts coming in from the windows? Are those going to need replaced or repaired? You can tell a lot about a home on a day like today. Just bundle up!! 🙂
What about rain? Personally I would rather go out in the snow than in the rain. The rain messes up my hair!!!
How wet is the basement? You can tell even more when it’s raining. What about the roof, gutters, down spouts? Heck, I showed a house in the rain and the entire front yard flooded. You don’t want that do you? Not unless you are a DUCK!
Every home I have ever showed looks better on a 80 degree sunny day than on a rainy or snowy or FREEZING COLD DAY. But sometimes looking for your new home in bad weather has some advantages.
